FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: part is prepared and assembled with chill mould, electrode is inserted into the chill mould, and the detail is heated by introduction of compressed thermite mix. Arc discharge of the electrode initiates combustion of the described mix. Then the electrode is removed, and liquid metal is cast.
EFFECT: reduced labour capacity and increased productivity.
