FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: of is used for determination of composition of multi-phase flow of well products. Invention consists in the fact that source is used with at least two energy peaks, gamma-quanta that have been exposed to at least one Compton scattering are registered with one detector, and gamma-quanta that have passed through tube with well products without interaction with components of well products are registered with the other detector, at that calibration by water, gas and oil is carried out, with calculation of absorption coefficient and coefficient of Compton scattering in all energy windows, afterwards composition of multi-phase mixture of flow is measured by solution of system of equations, the first of which reflects the fact that sum of volume fractions is equal to one, and following equations determine dependence of absorption in energy windows on volume fractions of different phases and dependence of quantity of scattered gamma-quanta on volume fractions of different phases.
EFFECT: provision of possibility to obtain fast and accurate information on the basis of multi-phase flow of fluid.
