FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: transformable armchair contains base frame, fixed seat positioned on base frame and back rest. Back rest is made with possibility to change from position intended for sitting when back rest forms some angle with seat bottom positioned horizontally, to position forming sleeping berth when this armchair substantially represents flat surface intended to accommodate passenger in lying position. The armchair contains, from one hand, guides intended for shifting the back rest from it's position intended for sitting to horizontal position, and on the other hand - at least one additional element of sleeping berth interacting with back rest with possibility to form flat surface intended to accommodate passenger in laying position.
EFFECT: reduction of transformable armchair mass.
