FIELD: furniture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of upholstered furniture for sitting or lying and can be used in production of transformable articles of upholstered furniture, in particular, sofas-beds and armchairs-beds, consisting of three sections. Convertible furniture for sitting or lying comprises a frame base equipped with sides and a transformable resting place movably fixed on it, including a head, a foot and a middle section, connected by a hinged joint, and the head section is additionally connected on the sides with the base by means of transformation means, with the possibility of turning the sections and linear movement of the bunch of sections forward and back at transformation and fixation of certain preset positions of sections of resting place. Foot section is additionally equipped with a support leg. Hinged connection is equipped with a locking mechanism of transformation means, including hinged hinges installed on adjacent sections, equipped with mating locking elements and hinged to each other and to the sides of the base by means of linear movement of sections of the rest area. Hinged connection of head and middle sections is made with rotation of connected middle and foot sections upwards from horizontal position of middle section, and hinged connection of middle and foot sections is made with rotation of foot section from arrangement at one level downwards and back relative to position of middle section to conjugation of lower surfaces of adjacent sections and horizontal arrangement of middle section in folded state. Leg-support of the leg section in the folded state is installed along the rear surface of the head section backrest lifted to the preset position, with the legs vertically oriented upwards. Base is equipped with vertically oriented support elements supporting the horizontal position of adjacent sections of the resting place.
