FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: parking brake actuator contains two separately spring loaded catchers mounted one after another along gear-type element, with mechanism for their release from button. Actuator is made as lever with sector-shaped gear-type element. Mechanism for catchers release is made in the form of button on lever knob which is pivotally connected via tie rod with double-arm lever on the other end of which there is pin relative to which grooved caps can slide. These caps are pivotally connected with catchers via tie rods.
EFFECT: reduction of force applied by driver to element of parking brake actuator; possibility to standardise the lever for various vehicles and reduction of mounting and removing time for actuating lever and parking brake actuator cable.
