FIELD: transport engineering; parking brakes. SUBSTANCE: parking brake has hollow lever with handle hinge-secured on support, and tie-rod adjustable in length and connected by axle with lever. Tie-rod is also connected with brake by bellcrank and chain. Lever has hinged stop to lock its turning at application of brake by engagement with ratchet rack, and eccentric home setting mechanism with handle. Stop and eccentric home setting mechanism are coupled by common axle installed for displacement in cross slots of lever through value of eccentricity. EFFECT: increased braking force created by linkage to value sufficient for holding vehicle on tolerable road slope, provision of compact design. 2 dwg
