FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: external sandwich wall of a building with an external layer of prefabricated panels fixed by means of steel bonds on the bearing structures of a building to form horizontal and vertical air spaces between them, a ventilated air space, intermediate insulating and internal layers composed of separate elements and/or small parts. The external layer in the form of a light decorative panel composed of a steel frame made of bent thin sheet profiles with vertical Z-shaped, flat-topped and horizontal L-shaped elements, with decorative facing fastened on it. The internal side of the facing of the panel with systems of L-shaped supporting brackets and a steel net made of 2-6 mm diameter wire and a mesh of 150-200 mm parallel to the panel flat surface at a distance of 20-100 mm from the facing to form a fixed ventilated air space is fastened to a steel bearing frame built in advance for each floor on the entire building and connected with the floor slabs or the bearing frame of the building with steel bonds with an interval equal to the interval of the supporting brackets of the external panel whereas each panel of the external layer is mounted in relation to the panels adjacent to it with spaces of 5-20 mm. A method of erecting the above mentioned external sandwich wall of a building has also been described.

EFFECT: isolation of the internal space of a building from a direct influence of the climatic factors; improvement of a heat engineering homogeneity of a sandwich wall; creation of a system for an efficient withdrawal of the excess water vapour from a building; improved reliability of fixation of the external decorative panels to the bearing frame of a building; reduced labour content when mounting an external enclosing wall and reduced construction time; no need to use large-capacity high-altitude hoisting construction engineering when constructing multistorey buildings.
