FIELD: physics, computing science.

SUBSTANCE: technical result is accuracy enhancement of determination of optimal maintenance period that leads to decrease of value of relative waste endurance of equipment. It's achieved due to that the law of variation in time of an equipment's failure rate is assigned, and after formation of time intervals between supposed technical service of an equipment, the value of failure rate of equipment is measured for each time frame and it's used during evaluation of reliability probability, average time of operable state and hidden failure on the time frame, thereafter the value of relative waste endurance of equipment is determined. Its value is compared with the value received in the previous time frame, the process is repeated till a new value of relative waste endurance of equipment is received, or the previous value of the time frame as an optimal period between technical services is fixed.

EFFECT: accuracy enhancement of optimal maintenance period determination.
