FIELD: physics, radio.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns radiotechnics, particularly balance UHF mixer of orthomode type for transceiving and gauging equipment. UHF mixer includes dielectric substrate (1) with metal cladding and microstrip heterodyne input conductors (3) and signal input (4) at its metal side (5), and coplanar and slit line sections coaxial to the conductor (3). Diodes (9, 10) are installed between central (6) and side (7, 8) conductors of coplanar line section. Conductor (3) is connected directly to conductor (6), and conductors (7, 8) are connected to the substrate cladding (2) via condensers (16, 17). Conductor (4) adjoins conductor (12). Conductors (12, 13) of slit line section are connected to the cladding (2), one via condenser (19) at quarter-wave distance from the conductor (4) axis, another via a bridge (21). Substrate cladding (2) features rectangular window under conductors (6, 7, 8, 12, 13). Diode offset and one-sided positioning of conductors (3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13) allow for reduced noise rate, increased parameter stability, manufacturability and maintainability. Within 8.5 to 10 GHz operating frequency band at 3-5-30 mW heterodyne power noise rate comprises less than 5 dB.
EFFECT: reduced noise rate, increased parameter stability, manufacturability and maintainability of UHF mixer.
