CONVERTER Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: radio engineering. SUBSTANCE: converter has cut of rectangular waveguide. One end of the waveguide has to be the signal input. Dielectric substrate is mounted in E-plane of the waveguide. The first, the second and the third metallization layers are placed onto one side of the substrate. The first and the second layers form slit cut connected with coplanar cut which is formed by the first, the second and the third metallization layers through opposite-phase divider. Output arms of the divider are connected in parallel opposition with mixing diode, generator diode which is connected to power circuit filter, and short-circuiting switch. One the other side of dielectric substrate the additional metallization layers are disposed made to be identical to the first, the second and the third layers and disposed in opposite to them; they form additional cuts of slit and coplanar line. Generator diode is connected to additional coplanar cut which has half-wave length; short-circuiting switch is mounted in the end of coplanar cut made in form of metallization layer. This switch forms microstrap filter together with central conductor of coplanar cut. Additional short-circuiting switch is disposed on the other side of the cut of rectangular waveguide, made n form of metal insert, which has longitudinal slot for dielectric substrate; width of the slot is chosen to be larger than thickness of the substrate.
