FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: potato digger comprising frame, housing, metallic fork, girds, springs, stops, rake, and tuber receiver. The housing is designed as a closed barrel with end flanges and a shaft, and installed on the frame. The fork is made of arc-shaped teeth with curved sharp ends and outermost plate-like teeth. The teeth are secured in nipple slots so that they project from the back of the fork. The fork is pivotally mounted with its nipples in the end flanges and braced with the girds over the nipples between the teeth. The springs are made as headless pins with curved ends and installed with their circular parts on the nipple ends. Their curved ends are inserted into holes in the end flanges and in the projecting parts of the outermost teeth. The stops are designed as angles and secured on the housing surface, along the housing. The rake is mounted on the housing at an angle above the tuber receiver, abutting the girds with its teeth.
EFFECT: simpler design and decreased power consumption.
