FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: combine harvester has a top-cutting device with a cutting element and a gripping element, and a separating device in the form of a conveyer, installed in series on the frame. The gripping element is made in the form of a combination of undercutting ploughshares conjugated with a soil-destructive mouldboard, under which a drive toothed drum-crusher is mounted, whose teeth are located in the windows of the soil-destructive mouldboard. The mouldboard is conjugated with the separating device made in the form of a rod conveyor having guard beads. A chain-roller conveyor is mounted on the hinged frame over the undercutting ploughshares and the rod conveyor, on the slats of which toothed rollers arranged on sliding bearings are mounted. The teeth of the rollers and the rods of the rod conveyor are covered with elastic material. The output units of the chain-roller and rod conveyors are arranged in the inner cavity of the drum loading conveyor having annular rods and tuber-gripping slats. The distance between the annular rods is taken from the condition of preventing the passage of roots and tubers between them. In the upper part of the drum loading conveyor, a receiving-pitched tray for laying roots and tubers in vehicles is provided. Vertical knives with flanges mounted on a hinged frame and fixed on the axis in the spacing rows of the crops to be harvested are mounted on the lateral sides of the undercutting shares. The lower unit of the chain-roller conveyor is arranged by means of sliding bearings on the axis of the cutting disks in the front part of the frame. A drive reducer of the drum-type cutting unit, having copying wheels, is mounted on a bracket. The cutting unit is mounted on arms with the hydraulic cylinder control. The drive of all mechanisms of the combine is made from the power takeoff shaft of the tractor through gearboxes and chain drives.

EFFECT: reducing the draft resistance, complete separation of roots and tubers from the soil, increased harvesting productivity.
