FIELD: physics, measurement.
SUBSTANCE: to achieve the objective, inertia level of braking system is defined by measuring time interval between brake pedal pressing moment and initial moment of vehicle speed decline. Current inertia values are compared to reference values. If current value is higher than reference value, inertia level excess in braking system is detected. Initial braking conditions are defined by defining vehicle speed at the moment of braking beginning, reference overload values are defined for data on initial braking conditions. Current overload values are compared to reference values. Braking system condition is indicated if current overload values are exceeded. Braking distance of vehicle is defined from initial speed decline moment to full stop.
EFFECT: enhanced self-descriptiveness of system.
