FIELD: physics, measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns measurement and control equipment and can be applied in material research and solid body physics. Thermal annealing of sample in vacuum comprises an object of invention. Then the sample is placed in inert gas environment, heated to given temperature multiple times, inert gas environment is replaced with air by bleeding, the sample is cooled in inert gas environment, after each cooling conductance activation energy (Ea) in surface sample layer is measured, and if conductance Ea coincides with value obtained in previous measurement, operation sequence of sample heating, exposure in heated state in air and cooling is discontinued. Then curve diagram for conductance Ea dependency on total time of sample exposure to heat is plotted. Diffusion rates are defined for given temperature by results of the curve approximation by expression linking conductance Ea in subsurface sample layer after recurrent sample exposure in heated state and concentration of ions diffused in sample at the moment. Temperature dependency diagram for diffusion rates is plotted, diffusion constants are defined by approximation of this dependency by Arrhenius law.
EFFECT: enhanced measurement accuracy.
