SUBSTANCE: according to method, defining points of signal transit from negative to positive values through zero level is performed by storing each digital reading as current a(tj) corresponding to current time moment tj, and previous a(tj-1), further comparison of a(tj-1) and a(tj)reading values. On comparison basis, numbers of count impulses w and i corresponding to time moments tw and ti are defined, at which first signal a(tj) transit from negative to positive value through zero level occurs, further these records are used for linear interpolation of signal and defining of time moment tn1 corresponding to first signal a(tj) transit from negative to positive value through zero level. Then time moment tn2 corresponding to second signal a(tj) transit from negative to positive value through zero level is defined by similar procedure. Phase φa of first signal is defined, and simultaneously phase φb of second signal is defined by similar procedure, and phase shift angle between a(t) and b(t) signals is defined as difference of φa and φb.
EFFECT: possible defining of phase shift angles between two signals of both sinusoid and non-sinusoid form, represented by digital readings with constant sampling interval.
