FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: method for determining phase angle between two sinusoidal signals by measuring, recording and digitalizing of instantaneous values a(tj) of signals a(t) = Amsin(ωt+φa) and b(t) = Bm·sin(ωt+φb) at the same moments of time tj = t1, t2, …, tN, where N is number of measurements within period T. At that tj+1 = tj+Δt, where Δt = T/N is discretization interval of the signal in time. At that at each measurement of signals a(t) and b(t) values of signals received two intervals back a(tj-2Δt), b(tj-2Δt), j = 3, 4, …, N+2 are selected, the current value Rj = a(tj-2Δt)-a(tj) of signal a(t) is calculated and recorded, the current value Sj = b(tj-2Δt)+b(tj) of signal b(t) is calculated and recorded, while the value φab of angle difference between signals a(t) and b(t) are defined upon measurement, recording and digitalization of all N instantaneous values as per the following mathematical expression φab = arqsin(ΣRjSj/(4πAmBm)), where summing is made as per j = 3, …, N+2, Rj = a(tj-2Δt)-a(tj); Sj = b(tj-2Δt)+b(tj).
EFFECT: simplified method for defining angle difference.
