FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to thermoplastic compositions, to the method of making it and to items, made from the composition. The composition consists of the following components: polyester, substituted cyclic anhydride or a mixture of substituted cyclic anhydrides forming a resin, and an additive. The substituted cyclic anhydride, used in the invention as a reactive carrier, has melting point closer to ambient temperature or lower than ambient temperature. The method of obtaining the composition involves mixing substituted cyclic anhydride with an additive and further reaction of the resulting mixture with polyester. From the compositions items like sheets, films, fibres, work pieces and containers can be made.
EFFECT: invention prevents formation of by-products during moulding under melt pressure of polyester in the product.
