FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed screw pump incorporates intake branch pipe representing intake openings 2 arranged along the edges of the lower part of housing 1. The aforesaid openings are furnished with adjustable-height flaps 13. The lower part of housing 1 is provided with protective screen 3. The drive shaft 6 is made with cylindrical and/or taper surface, its lower part accommodating a grinder made up of plate 11 with inclined knives 12 arranged thereon. Screw 7 is furnished with one- or multi-start thread screw blade provided with flanges 8, the blade pitch decreasing towards pressure branch pipe 4. the said branch pipe incorporates valve 9 to feed pumping-over media to the aforesaid pressure or re-circulation branch pipes 4, 5. The upper part of shaft 6 accommodates impeller 10. L-shape adapter 14 is arranged on the end of the aforesaid re-circulation branch pipe 5 tangentially to its lengthwise axis to rotate there about.
EFFECT: simpler design, higher reliability and efficiency.
