FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: nuclear magnetic logging device is put into borehole drilled in rock bulk; primary sequence of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) echo signals is obtained in response to applied primary pulse series containing excitation pulse and multiple refocusing pulses; signal magnitude assessment is performed for signal irrelevant to NMR and resulting from auxiliary pulse series including excitation pulse followed by refocusing pulse over some time period sufficient for signal unrelated to rock properties and excited by excitation pulse of auxiliary pulse sequence faded almost to zero by the moment of reception of echo signal formed by following refocusing pulse of auxiliary pulse sequence. This time period should be different from time interval between excitation pulse of primary pulse sequence and first of several refocusing pulses of primary pulse sequence; echo signal in primary NMR echo signal sequence is corrected with the help of assessment of signal irrelevant to NMR.
EFFECT: reduced magnetoacoustic reverberation impact in research involving nuclear magnetic resonance at minimal power consumption.
