FIELD: measuring.

SUBSTANCE: use for quantitative analysis of water-oil emulsions using low-frequency pulse NMR relaxometry. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that to obtain a representative homogeneous sample, a container with a water-oil emulsion sample is held at a given temperature for a certain time; then vigorously shaking or mixing the contents of the container with the sample depending on the viscosity of the sample; prepared homogenised sample is placed using a dispenser into a glass test tube to a predetermined height, providing maximum filling of the sample in the resonance region of the measuring coil of the NMR relaxometer; test tube with sample is thermostated for a given time at a given temperature; NMR relaxometer is adjusted, wherein for measurement of two signals of decay of free induction and full envelope of echo signals in series of Carr-Purcell-Meiboom-Gill, performed successively on NMR relaxometer, measurement parameters are entered, namely for measurement of decay signal of free induction; after which the test tube with the prepared sample is placed in the NMR relaxometer and the measurement process is started, as a result of which the decay signal of free induction with minimum "dead time" and the full envelope of the echo signals in the Carr-Purcell-Meiboom-Gill series are recorded; then performing measurement parameters input, namely for measurement of short envelope of echo signals in Carr-Purcell-Meiboom-Gill series; after which the measurement process is started, as a result of which a short envelope of echo signals is recorded in a Carr-Purcell-Meiboom-Gill series; and then performing mathematical processing of results.

EFFECT: enabling simultaneous determination of the amount of water and analysis of the group composition of oil in water-oil emulsions without preliminary chemical preparation and treatment of the analysed samples.
