SUBSTANCE: invention concerns processing methods for minerals containing uranium dioxide, and can be applied in uranium extraction from spent fuel and metallurgic and mechanic operation waste in production of uranium dioxide items. Method for uranium dioxide dissolution involves oxidation dissolution of uranium dioxide in water-free solvent. Solvent includes tributhylphosphate and dilutant. For dilutant, chlorine-, fluorine-containing hydrocarbon with boiling point under 100°C are used. After uranium dioxide dissolution dilutant is distilled. Low-boiling chlorine-, fluorine-containing hydrocarbon may be 1,1,2-trifluortrichlorethane, 1,2-difluor-1,1,2-trichlorethane or 1,1-chlor-1-fluorethane.
EFFECT: combined uranium dioxide dissolution and dissolved uranium extraction to organic phase.
