FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be applied in iron bar demagnetisation. Invention claims method of iron bar demagnetization by simultaneous affection of iron bar by alternate and direct fields in one point with automatic field value adjustment by demagnetisation control device featuring feedback link by remaining bar magnetization; generation of both alternate electromagnetic field demagnetising a rod directly, but also direct electromagnetic field compensating static magnetic fields, by solenoid; waveform change for current running over solenoid, so that current wave takes form of sinusoid displaced to one of polarities at a value required for constant field component generation; remaining bar magnetisation is assessed by remaining magnetisation sensor, and if permissible magnetisation level is exceeded, microcontroller program adjusts alternate current amplitude and frequency and direct current value automatically.

EFFECT: simplified demagnetisation method, enhanced demagnetisation efficiency.
