FIELD: electricity; physics.

SUBSTANCE: device is intended to be installed in weld joint area and includes degaussing cable energised by direct current from weld rectifier. Device includes multi-turn coil connected to fixed magnet field gap and direction sensors enclosed into metal framework by means of connectors. Device is installed on both sides of welded joint, and current is supplied through control unit included into feed-back system with magnet field sensors. Composite metal framework is represented by open ferromagnetic circuit having coil inside, pole pieces and non-magnet rectangular plates with bottom cylindrical surface, its diameter being equal to outer pipe diameter. Pole pieces and non-magnet plates are situated in alternating order relative to magnetic circuit sides. Metal framework is coated with fire-proof material.

EFFECT: decrease in power consumption and labour output ratio.
