METHOD FOR CENTRALISATION OF NIPPLE-AREOLA COMPLEX AFTER RADICAL RESECTION OF MAMMARY GLAND Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: after radical resection of mammary gland the direction of the line from the center of nipple-areola complex and crossing the stitch after resection is taken as 0 hours. The line of 6 hours is marked on skin of mammary gland. Two lines from the edge of areola to the bottom of mammary gland through 4 and 8 hours. Their length is measured. Each line is marked with a point that is distant from the edge of areola for 1/3 of the measured length of the line. The points are connected with a straight line crossing the line of 6 hours. The inner edge of skin semilunar flap is formed by paraareoral incision of skin from 2 to 10 hours. The external edge of the flap is formed from 2 to 10 hours by semilunar incision of skin, gradually retreated from paraareolar incision to the maximum distance in the cross point of the straight line and line of 6 hours. The skin flap is cut down. The wound is sutured along the edge of areola.

EFFECT: accuracy enhancement of centralisation of nipple-areola complex with improved esthetic effect saving mammary duct system and partial saving of vessels, feeding the complex.
