FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns hydrometallurgy and analytical chemistry. Particularly it concerns method for palladium (II) extraction from dead catalyst. Method includes acid leaching of palladium from dead catalyst and palladium sorption from chloride solution. At that acid leaching is implemented by "chloroazotic acid", received solution is evaporated, solid residue is dissolved in hydrochloric acid. From received chloride solution it is implemented palladium sorption on carbonic sorbate at pH=1.5.
EFFECT: palladium extraction by cheap carbonic sorbates from chloride solutions, received after treatment of dead catalyst, method express, and also easiness of sorbate utilization by burning.
