FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns foundry. Particularly it concerns development of steel compounds for manufacturing of rollers for hot rolling. Steel contains carbon, silicon, manganese, vanadium, calcium, sulfur, phosphorus and iron, at following components ratio, wt %: carbon 0.55-0.65, silicon 0.20-0.52, manganese 0.40-0.90, vanadium 0.1-0.2, calcium 0.01-0.03, sulfur till 0.03, phosphorus till 0.03, iron is the rest. At that it is followed ratio 3.25≤C/V≤5.5. There are increased value of strength and plastic properties, particularly, ultimate strength at tension, yield point, percent elongation and impact elasticity.
EFFECT: increased value of strength and plastic properties.
