METHOD FOR DEVELOPMENT OF MULTI-HORIZON NON-UNIFORM OIL FIELDS BY MEANS OF BRANCHED HORIZONTAL WELLS Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC E21B43/20 

FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: method includes boring of pressure and producing wells with vertical and horizontal and/or sub-horizontal bores of horizontal and/or sub-horizontal and/or vertical branches, then pumping of displacing fluid and withdrawal of well product. According to the invention while boring horizontal and/or sub-horizontal bores borders of zones with different permeability crossed by these bores are determined. The number of branches is specified in direct proportion dependence on oil resources, in inverse proportion on zones permeability and on the condition of uniform extraction of deposit resources. Further a packer is installed in horizontal and/or sub-horizontal wells at the border of zones differed in their permeability by 1.5 and more times. Withdrawal of product is performed maintaining bottom pressure for each chosen zone.

EFFECT: increased oil extraction due to increased coverage of non-uniform beds by effecting onto them and due to uniformity of oil resources withdrawal.
