SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vertical centrifugal pumps designed to create a backup ahead of the pump pumping oil into the oil main. The booster pump incorporates housing 1 accommodating impeller 2 with upper and lower surfaces 3, 4. O-rings 5, 6 are fitted in between pump housing 1 and impeller 2. O-ring 5 is furnished with circular collar 7. Upper surface 3 of impeller 2 is provided with groove 8 closed by the aforesaid collar 7 with a gap.

EFFECT: balancing impeller forced of gravity, higher reliability and efficiency of centrifugal pump.
