SUBSTANCE: device (1) contains normally open differential interrupter (20) and differential current transformer (39) generating signal proportional to leakage. Data processing unit (50) connected with transformer (39) registers specified signal and keeps interrupter (20) closed until unsafe condition arises implying that registered signal exceeds certain limit value.

EFFECT: higher reliability and sensitivity of protection with self-diagnostics and complete automation provided.
