FIELD: technological processes, metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method includes alternate deformation of billet with two mutually perpendicular pairs of rollers that evenly rotate in invariable direction and have pressing and calibrating sections, with the opposite direction of vectors of peripheral velocities of rollers in every pair from the side of rolling axis and exceeding of relative displacement of billet and rollers axes to the side of finished profile at regulated value. Higher accuracy of rolled metal geometric parameters without application of special modes of deformation is provided due to the fact that rolling of rollers with calibrating sections, vectors of peripheral velocities of which are directed to the side of finished profile and initial billet, is carried out at the lengths of billet regulated with mathematical dependences that correspond to every of these roller pairs.
EFFECT: increase of quality of sectional bars produced with stepped rolling.
