FIELD: limited-tonnage production of sections of ferrous and non-ferrous metals in metallurgy and machine engineering. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of reducing blank by two sets of mutually normal rolls shifted one relative to another along rolling axis. Each roll has sizing and reducing portions. Simultaneous reduction by means of first and second sets of rolls is realized when deformation cone start is set. Deformation cone is created by means of first set of rolls in plane spaced from plane including axes of second roll set to side of initial blank by distance depending upon length of sizing portion and ready section length. Sizing portion of roll is used for rolling along length equal to at least 1.5 length value of ready section received at each cycle of step rolling. EFFECT: enhanced quality and accuracy of rolled pieces. 10 dwg
