FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to estimation procedure of wireless channel frequency response in system with orthogonal multiplexing with frequency division (OFDM). Initial estimation of wireless channel frequency response is produced for the first subrange group on the basis of transmission of pilot-signal received in subranges of the first group. Then estimation of wireless channel pulse response follows on the basis of initial estimation of frequency response. Then improved estimation of wireless channel frequency response for the second subrange group is made on the basis of pulse response estimation. The first and second groups can include all or only one subgroup of used subranges. Subrange multiplexing can be used for simultaneous transmissions of pilot-signal by number terminals within groups of connected subranges.
EFFECT: development of more effective estimation procedure of OFDM system response, particularly, in upperlink.
