FIELD: information technologies.
SUBSTANCE: in multiplexing of subranges, M used subranges in the system are divided into Q non-crossing groups of subranges. Each group of subranges may be assigned to a separate terminal to transfer pilot signal along upperlink. Multiple terminals may perform simultaneous transfer at their assigned subranges. Capacity of transfer for pilot signal may be scaled with increase to produce the same energy of pilot signal, even if S, and not M subranges are used to transfer pilot signal in each terminal. Transfers of pilot signals from terminals are received, and for each terminal a channel estimate is produced, on the basis of pilot signal received in assigned subranges. Estimate of channel contains response for additional subranges, which are not included into assigned group. Multiplexing of subranges may also be used to transfer alarm along upperlink.
EFFECT: considerable reduction of time for transfer of pilot signal.
