SUBSTANCE: invention refers to packet data communication system, specifically to data on error detection in transmitted information prior to transmission and reception. Method of information sequence definition for error detection is intended for evaluation of data sequence length. Related device for method implementation contains set of cascade registers and set of adders. During reception of control information sequence the operator defines feedback bit sequence and transmits it to adders. After reception is completed the operator consistently adds preset input bit to output bits of last register and delivers a result. Reference value controller delivers to registers one value chosen from reference values.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of error detection in transmitted information in communication system.
