FIELD: woodworking.
SUBSTANCE: present invention concerns technics of drying of saw-timber and can be used in wood, wood-working and other branches of the wood industry. The invention lies in the following: in the drying chamber including a tight heat-insulated bath with a demountable cover, executed in the form of an all-metal plate, from the interior of the bath cover are established strain-gauge gauges which serve for determination of current density of wood at which in the course of drying-impregnation changes the elevating force affecting a stack of saw-timbers changes, shipped in a waterproof liquid; thus current density is defined on expression: where Far - total buoyant force with which the stack acts on strain-gauge gauges, H; V - wood volume in the chamber, m3; g _ gravitational acceleration, m/s; ρl - density of a waterproof liquid, kg/m3.
EFFECT: allows increasing accuracy of gauging of change of current weight of dried up wood.
