FIELD: aerial photography.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method is based on still-frame aerial mapping using apparatus fitted on a carrier and subsequent processing of obtained data. Aerial photography is carried out during parallel-series scanning of an underlying surface due to movement of a snapshot taken across the path of the carrier, through discrete step-by-step turning of the photographing equipment from a chosen initial position. The photographing process is combined with simultaneous transmission of the obtained information to a land based station. A panoramic shot is taken during reversal of the photographing equipment. The sought object is found and its location is determined in association with landmarks.
