FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to mining, particularly to methods and facilities of localization of explosions of methane-air mixture and/or coal dust. For this object in the path of flame-front spreading the method suggests forming the main and auxiliary explosion localising barriers with power of compressed air or another inert gas of high pressure in form of a cloud of a flame-extinguishing dust at suspended state and possessing properties of retardation of dust-air mixtures and inhibition of methane-air mixtures. The process of forming the main and auxiliary explosion localising barriers owing to the source of external power - shock-air wave resulted after explosion of methane and/or coal dust is duplicated with internal sources of power received from gas-generating chemical composition or electromagnetic drive which operate in accordance with the source of external force. The execution signal for these processes initiation is transmitted via wireless or looped electrical communication line from the explosion-localising facility which is the first to react to a shock-air wave from explosion of methane and/or coal dust at explosion-protected sites of mine workings. Also there are suggested versions of the facility for implementation of this method.

EFFECT: upgraded reliability and efficiency of localisation of avalanche processes of methane and/or coal dust explosions which develop in network of mine workings.
