FIELD: physics, measurement.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to testing of one of principal metrological characteristics of acoustic chambers and can be used for certification of various acoustic reverberation chambers with high working values of sound pressure. Offered method of reverberation time test consists in acoustic field generation using of short pulses, sound pressure measurement, frequency analysis of used pulse, and sound pressure attenuation time test. Short pulse source are separation bolts. At first pressure pulse is generated for separation bolt, and sound pressure is preset step-by-step within the whole working range of reverberation chambers with increasing number of simultaneously actuated separation bolts. Shock acceleration spectrum is used for pulse frequency content analysis.

EFFECT: higher measurement accuracy.
