FIELD: technical processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for separation. Method involves gas and fluid flow feed to separator case via inlet pipe; flow guiding by deflector to perforated shell for fluid drop precipitation on the shell and for precipitated fluid pass through the shell perforation to a gap between shell and separator case for precipitated fluid to drip via shell into fluid collector; transit of flow containing fine-dispersed fluid alone after drop fluid separation into louver-type plate pack for fine-dispersed fluid precipitation on the pack plates and removal of remaining fluid from gas; discharge of separated gas and fluid. Total area of shell perforations is adjusted depending on fluid quantity and properties in the gas and fluid flow to be separated. Vertical separator has basically cylindrical case, louver-type plate pack mounted inside the case parallel to its axis, inlet pipe for gas and fluid flow, basically cylindrical perforated shell mounted between case and louver-type plate pack, fluid collector positioned in the lower separator case part, detached from main separator space by partition and connected to separator by outlet pipe. Shell consists of at least two perforated cylindrical parts, one of which is immobile and rigidly fixed on separator case, while the other is mounted on case and can move against immobile part. Perforated shell parts are placed inside each other, and open perforation area can be adjusted by shifting shell parts against each other.
EFFECT: optimised separation efficiency.
