FIELD: physics; image processing.
SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to a multilayer protective element for different types of printing products, as well as to counterfeit protected material. The multilayer protective element for a printing product, such as a valuable document, bank note, bond paper, credit card, certificate and some other similar product, comprises at least one metal-containing layer and a layer generating a colour effect. The protective element has three layers. The first layer generates a varying colour effect and is deposited on a polymer base. The second layer is semi-transparent due to raster demetallisation of a metallised film or due to use of a polymer with high refraction coefficient of not less than 1.6 or due to depositing a transparent metal layer. The third layer generates a varying colour effect and its colour differs from that of the first layer. The first, second and third layers are on surfaces of three different polymer bases, made from materials with different refraction coefficients and have different transmission spectra, reflection and luminescence. In the other version of the protective element, the second and third layers are on different surfaces of the same polymer base, and the first layer is on a transparent or semi-transparent or non-transparent surface of the second film. Proposal is also given of counterfeit protected material, containing a multilayer protective element and a counterfeit protected printing product, in which the protective element is on the surface of the product or between layers of the product, such that, one of the layers has open sections or is transparent.
EFFECT: design of a simple, easily accessible and cheaper protective element and widens the range of apparatus for this purpose.
