FIELD: medical devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for foam transfer and is designed to be used integrated with aerosol container to produce sclerosing foam for treatment, for example varicose veins. The proposed device comprises a source of foam and distributing device incorporating an inlet channel communicating with the foam source, an outlet channel to discharge foam ready for use and an outlet channel to discharge wastes communicating with the inlet channel. Note that the latter features a higher drag as compared with that in the channel discharging foam ready for use. Note that wastes chamber can be made transparent. Alternatively foam travel direction can be changed automatically, for example when the preset time gets expired or preset foam volume is delivered. The foam intended for use, is usually fed into a syringe for subsequent injection in varicose vein of a patient. The proposed device allows automatic tapping off poor-quality foam. Note here that changing the foam flow over into the wastes chamber is carried out without interrupting foam flow coming from the aforesaid aerosol container to ensure a high-quality foam to be fed into the syringe.
EFFECT: high-quality foam forced into syringe.
