FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to magnesia cements and can be used for building material production, including organic concrete. For production of magnesia cement, synthetic magnesium sulphate MgSO4·7H2O is prepared by chemical interaction of aqueous suspension of fine magnesite MgCO3 or caustic magnesite MgO taken in ratio solid:liquid=1:1, with sulphuric acid of density at least 1.6 g/cm3 until liquid phase of suspension is completely neutralised to pH-7, followed by MgSO4·7H2O evaporation and crystallisation. Produced magnesium sulphate is mixed with caustic magnesite in ratio, wt %: caustic magnesite - 66-72, specified magnesium sulphate - 28-34.
EFFECT: development of magnesia cement representing dry mixed components characterised by unlimited storability, transportability and usable immediately after mixing.
