FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to iron and steel industry and can be implemented for charging of blast furnaces. The charging device contains successively assembled a receiving funnel with a charge gate, intermediary hoppers with gas-sealing valves and the charge gate and a guiding funnel with a central chute. A radial stationary charge distributor is installed at a throat; the distributor is made in form of a truncated cone with diameter of the upper cross-section constituting 1.1-1.2 of diameter of an outlet aperture of the central chute. A calibrator is installed in the outlet aperture of the central chute; the calibrator is designed to travel in a vertical plane. Diameter of the lower cross-section of the calibrator constitutes 0.93-0.96 of diameter of the upper aperture of the truncated cone.
EFFECT: facilitating uniform circumferential distribution of furnace gases and increased efficiency of furnace operation control.
