FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: one places a glass blank with glass strips arranged along the blank perimeter between the top and the bottom external glass sheets. The external sheets are made of glass whose softening temperature is 5-30°C less as compared to that of the blank material. Thickness of the top external sheet exceeds that of the blank and the bottom external sheet by 0.5-1.2 mm. The glass package thus prepared is placed in a sag-bending mold, heated and bent.
EFFECT: improvement of quality of varied curvature radius shaped glass products in terms of their optical and geometrical properties.
