FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: sheet glass is heated to melting point without contact with the mould at a distance of 5-20 mm from the top of the mould. A constant bending moment is created on the entire perimetre of the sheet glass at the instant when it touches the top of the bulging solid mould.
EFFECT: obtaining a workpiece with a double or more complex surface curvature while improving quality of the surface of the glass workpiece at the same time.
