FIELD: technological processes; physics.
SUBSTANCE: method for production of film or sheet includes deformation of polymer alloy at the temperature, which is efficient to give double refraction delay equal to 350 nanometers or more to deformed alloy, where deformed polymer alloy has comets in amount of 0.25 comets/sq centimeter or less. The other version of method includes annealing of film or sheet that contain polymer alloy at temperature close to glass-transition temperature of polymer resin contained in alloy, at that deformed polymer alloy has comets in amount of 0.25 comets/sq centimeter or less. Composition contains the first polymer resin in amount from around 1 to around 99 wt %; and the second polymer resin in amount from around 1 to around 99 wt %. At that deforming force or energy is applied to polymer resins, and these forces are efficient to produce polymer alloy having double refraction delay equal to around 350 nanometers or more, or double refraction delay equal to around 150 nanometers or less. Methods of these inventions may be used to produce optical devices, films or sheets manufactured with specified properties.
EFFECT: maximum elimination of comets and streaks in polymer alloys for optical film or sheet.
