FIELD: physics, measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to control and record fuel consumption in diesel internal combustion engines fitted with closed dead-end fuel system. Dead-end fuel system comprises a fuel tank, a low-pressure fuel line including a cut-off valve, a coarse fuel filter, a low-pressure fuel feed pump (pump), a fine fuel filter, a recording device, a low-pressure manifold connected to high-pressure fuel pumps which are connected to the engine cylinder injection nozzles and an unused fuel return line as well as a heat exchanger (cooler) with a fuel feed pump; the unused fuel return line is connected to the entry of the latter. The fine fuel filter is equipped with an increased-pressure return valve for discharging the fuel into the fuel tank through the return line and a decreased-pressure throttle valve. Hydraulic shock compensators are mounted on both sides of the recording device and form together with the latter a fuel flow metering section. Each hydraulic shock compensator is made as multipass balance chambers.
EFFECT: increasing measurement accuracy, prolonging operation life, simplifying fuel flow control etc.
