FIELD: physics; optics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to physical optics, in particular, to methods for beam shaping. Method implies shaping divergence angle by changing the beam front level. For this purpose, pancratic system components are shifted, radius of curvature being constant to the value corresponding to the specified divergence angle according to formula Δ=R(1-cosθ/2), where Δ - front level, R - radius of front curvature, θ - divergence angle. Angle θ value is converted to proportional control signal, which is transmitted to the device with two reflective surfaces. The latter is optically coupled to autocollimators positioned at angle γ to each other. The signal is transmitted until required γ value is obtained: γ=k-θ, where k - fractional or integer number.

EFFECT: efficient method for beam shaping.
