FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft and power engine production and is designed for engine and power plant ignition systems. Also it can be used in a wide range of plasma technologies. The proposed method consists in that a zone is generated with its internal electromagnetic field (EF) of the metal EF oscillator forms a high level on intensity to initiate a deeply near-critical SHF discharge in the field of electromagnetic wave with the help of the EF oscillator parallel conducting or radio-transparent surface. Air and gaseous or vaporous combustible material is fed into the said zone to be ignited by the said SHF discharge and to form high-temperature plasma jet that affects the ambient space.
EFFECT: expanded operating temperature and pressure ranges, increased fuel rate, improved quality of mixing and combustion.
