FIELD: mechanics.

SUBSTANCE: proposed centrifuge incorporates a tapered-cylinder hollow rotor housing an auger to move precipitate and made up of a housing representing a drum and a tape helix fitted on the rotor outer surface, its edge being reinforced by protective plates. The said protective plates represent the tape made up of separate sectors attached on to both helix sides all over its length to a chute open, in its cross section, towards the rotor wall.

EFFECT: auger longer life, lower repair costs.
